Client Care Coordinator

Client Care Coordinators are valuable members of our hospital teams and play a crucial role in our client experience, and ability to treat and serve our patients. Solano-Napa Pet Emergency Clinic is seeking Veterinary Assistants to join our emergency department team. The Client Care Coordinator is responsible for providing exceptional and compassionate client service to the pet parents and pets that we serve, they must demonstrate empathy and enjoy working closely with clients, patients, and teammates.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for greeting clients, determining the needs of the clients and patients, and completing the check-in and check-out process.
  • Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
  • Efficiently answers telephone calls and client questions, takes messages
  • Assists technician with providing routine instructions to owners on the proper administration of the medication.
  • Invoices clients, collects fees, makes change, imprints credit card forms, and obtains authorization for credit charges following the credit policies of the hospital.
  • Maintains appearance and cleanliness of the waiting room and reception area, including re-stocking of products, office supplies, client educational materials, hospital brochures, etc.
  • Handles all animals with both caution and compassion.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with basic office functions in a busy office environment
  • Client service and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work with a great attitude and be flexible with clinic/patient/staff needs.
  • Interact with clients and other team members with professionalism and respect.
  • Can stay calm and efficient in fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and adherence to procedures and protocols
  • Practices excellent communication skills verbal, written and non-verbal.
  • Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 40 pounds, and work on feet most of the day
